Healthy Dinner Recipes

Many Healthy dinner recipes include a great ground turkey chili.



Fabulous Ground Turkey Recipe


If you are looking for low fat diet foods a ground turkey chili is a wonderful dinner. Use ground turkey breast instead of dark meat and it is even lower fat and lower calorie.



Ingredients

1 cup onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound ground turkey

2 cans diced tomatoes

1 can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon chili powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground oregano

1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/4 teaspoon ground basil

Directions

1. Saute onions, green pepper and garlic in olive oil until soft

2. Add ground turkey and cook

3. Combine spices together then add to ground turkey meat

4. Add red wine vinegar

5. Add tomatoes and let simmer for 30 minutes in covered pot

6. Add kidney beans and cook for a few more minutes



Have Ground Turkey Chili Your Way, Every Way

1. Serve over white or brown rice

2. Garnish with grated cheddar cheese, onions and sour cream. Great low fat diet foods include low fat cheese and non fat sour cream.

3. Substitute black beans for the kidney beans

4. Leave out the beans and serve as a chili dip with scoop tortilla chips
