Sour Cream Recipes

Make one of the sour cream recipes to add as a topping to any ground beef chili or other chili recipes. It will give your chili an added zip. It is a delicious addition to any of the simple ground beef recipes.

Spicy Sour Cream Topping

Making great chili recipes is about having it your way and every way. When I put out the various toppings I serve with chili, like, cheese, chopped onion, crackers, etc, I like to include this spicy recipe as well as plain sour cream. My family likes to add the spicy topping to other chili recipes especially when I make one of my easy fast dinner recipes.

Ingredients

1 carton sour cream (8 ounce)

2 T mayonnaise

1 T lemon juice

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp curry powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/8 tsp cayenne

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Chill for at least 1 hour. Serve as a topping with the chili.

Have It Your Way, Every Way

1. For a low fat option use low fat or fat free sour cream.

2. Add cayenne to taste depending on how spicy you would like it.

3. Add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce instead of the cayenne or in addition to the cayenne.

4. Use low fat mayonnaise to save additional fat and calories.
