Cincinnati Chili Recipe - 5 Way
This Cincinnati chili recipe is one of my all time favorites.
Its unique flavor and way of eating it will delight your family. There are many Cincinnati Chili Recipes and the one thing they all have in common is the option to serve it 2 way, 3 way, 4 way or 5 way. This dish is one of my favorite recipes for ground beef.

This type of chili is usually serve over spaghetti. You then have the option to add grated cheese, chopped onions and kidney beans.I like to serve it with the

Ingredients 1 cup onion, chopped 1 pound extra-lean ground beef 2 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1-1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon red (cayenne) pepper (omit for milder chili) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa or 1/2 ounce grated unsweetened chocolate 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cup water Directions Salt and pepper the ground meat. In a large dutch oven, over medium-high heat, brown the ground meat. Drain off any fat. Add onion and garlic and saute till onion is soft. Add the chili powder, allspice, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper and nutmeg and cook for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes, unsweetened cocoa or chocolate, Worcestershire sauce and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for 45 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 30 minutes to let the flavors blend. Reheat and serve over cooked spaghetti To make it Your Way add any or all of the toppings listed below. Ladle chili over spaghetti and serve with toppings of your choice.
