Serve this easy fruit salad recipe and help your guests cool off their palettes from any spicy chili recipe. I always like to include strawberries and blueberries

Dairy is a great way to cool the palette when eating a spicy chili recipe or any hot and spicy food. This fresh fruit salad recipe is a great chili side dish.

Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe is a Winner

This fresh fruit salad recipe will definitely be a winner at your chili buffet. I vary the fruit I add depending on what is in season, although I always try to include strawberries.

If you have any leftover it is a great addition to any breakfast. You will find this to be one of the best yogurt fruit dip recipes.

How to Make a Healthy Fruit Salad

Ingredients

1/2 cup plain yogurt

4 T fresh lime juice

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon grated lime peel

2 cups diced peaches

2 cups diced strawberries

2 cups seedless red or green grapes

2 cups diced mango

1 1/2 cups blueberries

Directions

Put yogurt in coffee filter or cheese cloth and let drain for a few hours. You can also greek yogurt instead which does not need to be drained. Whisk first 4 ingredients in small bowl to blend; set dressing aside.

Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Cover dressing and fruit separately and chill until ready to serve, up to 6 hours.

Mix 1/2 the dressing into fruit. Let stand 15 minutes to blend flavors. Serve remaining dressing on the side.

Have it Your Way, Every Way

1. Use Greek yogurt instead of plain yogurt. Greek yogurt does not need to be drained.

2. Use sour cream instead of yogurt for the dressing. Very Yummy

3. Substitute other fruits. I have used bananas, blackberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, honey dew, pineapple, kiwi, apple, strawberries, etc.

4. Make with vanilla yogurt

Enjoy this yummy fresh fruit salad recipe!
